Portraits
These are all earlier works and the images in this series are all shot in camera and mostly on 4” x 5” or 10” x 8” film and occasionally 6cm x 6cm.
The humans in them are friends of mine, as you can see, Steve’s bald head has been inspirational and he has patiently endured the application of sea urchins, butterflies and even a smelly Gurnard fish.
String jacket was my first creative picture where I organised what was in the frame and produced something from my imagination. I used some old sisal string to make the shape of a jacket and glued it to a distressed door. Although not strictly a portrait, the old black and white photograph in the pocket is of my mother and sister so I wanted to include it.
